During the visit in an IP community. We were given necklaces made from banana seeds (saging amo). They welcomed us with their song and ritual.

What I like most when I go to the mountains is I get to experience things that are out of my ordinary life in town.
Bayuko. It was my first time eating those indigenous land snails. My companions were gathering these snails while on the way to the community. These snails were our meryenda! At first, I couldn’t get myself to join them. But I managed to gather up my courage to taste them. They taste like chicken! No, they don’t. taste like wood-soil-leaves or whateverrr. Slimy and satisfying.
While we were walking on our way home, we saw this dead snake… It was shot, I said. But the IP child said no, it was killed with a rock. (I mean, really? butas kasi yung katawan nya. Hehe) It was my second time seeing a dead snake. Usually kasi buhay ang nakakasalubong namin. :D
